Mission Statement

The purpose of the Oconto County Treasurer is to provide for the orderly collection, disbursement and recording of all monies received or disbursed by the County. The County Treasurer is also charged with maintaining records of transactions affecting taxes and the safekeeping of all county funds, including the investment of those funds as prescribed by state statues and direction of the County Board.

The Oconto County Treasurer's Department accomplishes its mission by performing three major activities. First, in accordance with state statue, the department keeps records of all monies appropriated and disbursed regarding: General property taxes, bail, fines or forfeitures imposed by courts for violation of state laws or county/municipal ordinances. Second, the County Treasurer safe keeps all county funds and invests such funds consistent with state stature and direction of the County Board. Finally, the Department maintains records of all transactions affecting delinquent taxes and foreclosures.
