  • Assists the Risk Management / Loss Control Committee in risk management efforts.
  • Evaluates insurance needs and recommends appropriate coverage in conjunction with the Finance / Insurance Committee.
  • Supervises bidding of insurance.
  • Administers the county insurance programs including:
    • Maintains a copy of insurance policies
    • Ensures that coverage continues and is adjusted as necessary
    • Transmits claims against the county to the appropriate insurer to determine coverage.
    • Submits and monitors claims by the county for payment.
